Crete & Co. was established and founded by John Forseth of Bemidji, MN. He began his concrete career at the age of 14 with Lakes Concrete Plus in Bemidji. He learned how to cut rebar, make concrete septic tanks, operate heavy equipment, drive large commercial trucks, and batch ready-mix concrete. By the time he turned 18 he got his commercial driver’s license and was able to deliver concrete. This allowed him to really learn the right way and the wrong way to pour concrete. He would often help on delivery jobs by jumping in and aiding as much as possible. From there, he started to perform his own jobs on the weekends and after normal working hours doing mainly small sidewalks or patio projects for family or friends. It was through these jobs that John learned the finishing side of the trade, testing techniques and perfecting his skills. After graduating from Bemidji State University, he decided that it was time to give this trade a real shot.

ABOUT
John started out as a two man show with a friend in 2015. They worked like crazy, performed backbreaking jobs, put their heart and soul into every job. The following season, Crete & Co connected with local contractors and poured foundations for many homes in the area. A team of two turned into a team of 20 within a few short years, with plans of future growth. As the company has grown, so has the size of our projects. What started as small sidewalks on the weekend has grown to 20,000 square foot pours in a single day. Numerous technology improvements and investments have increased our production rates, ensured premium quality of work, and significantly reduced the backbreaking man hours. Crete & Co’s true secret is in our process. From initial inquiry phone call, to training our finishers when to edge a sidewalk, to sending an invoice, we have a process. We are an absolute machine when it comes to concrete work. Our constant drive for improvement and exceptional quality of work has bred a culture of company success.
